


2. Input
An ‘input’ is anything that that the computer needs in order to do some work. For example there are many input devices available such as
- Keyboard
- Mouse
- Touch sensitive screen as on a tablet or smart phone
All of these devices send data into the computer for processing.
If data is already available in the computer, for example loaded from a file stored on hard disk, then the computer can process that directly as well.
This kind of data is also classed as an input.
So - Input is data that is ready to be processed.
All data within the computer is in binary form – binary 0 and binary 1.
